Romans 14:8 Sr. Shigi Chacko DW Joined CLHRC in 2018 and filled in as an OPD in charge for one year and as a Nursing Superintendent for a considerable length of two years. While serving the poor, the sick and the COVID patients, she contracted the virus and was hospitalized, and was given the best treatment possible to recover; however, God willed otherwise, on June 01, 2021, she was ushered by the Heavenly Father for her timeless prize. For the church, the Ranchi archdiocese, and the Constant Lievens hospital and research centre, she was a gentle soul and magnificent individual. Undoubtedly, her service was truly instrumental in transforming many lives as she nursed countless sick people back to health. On June second, the CLHRC Family assembled in CLHRC hall to bid one last adieu to Sr. Shigi Chacko. The Solemn Holy Eucharist was celebrated by most Rt. Rev. Felix Toppo, the Archbishop of Ranchi, Rev. Theodor Mascarenes, the assistant Bishop of Ranchi, Rev. Fr. George, overseer of CLHRC and Fr. Chonhas SJ, Chaplin of CLHRC. All priests and nuns of the neighbouring communities and all employees, staff, and students of CLHRC were part of the last rites of Sr. Shigi Chacko. Bishop Theodor Mascarenhas spoke momentarily about Sr. Shigi. He stated that Sr. Shigi carried on with a full life; she lived a complete consecration to the Lord. Giving to the poor, to the sick anything she could. He additionally said that "this wheat" of grain will bear abundant fruit in the hearts of our nurses and employees who exhibit Sr. Shigi's devoted and selfless service. The mortal remains of Sr. Shigi were flown to Bangalore by Fr. Sijo MSFS, associate director of finance, and Sr. Jaya DW.
